How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A specialist, London-based construction consultancy is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor to work across a strong portfolio of residential, mixed-use, commercial, and hotel projects. The Project Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in delivering schemes from inception through to completion, working closely with clients and stakeholders. This Project Quantity Surveyor role offers real ownership, client exposure, and involvement in high-quality, design-led developments. The Project Quantity Surveyor will join a consultancy known for its collaborative approach and strong project pipeline.     The Project Quantity Surveyor's role

    The Project Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing cost and commercial elements across multiple projects. The Project Quantity Surveyor will lead procurement processes, including appointing contractors and consultants, and will take ownership of tender documentation and analysis. As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will attend and contribute to client and design team meetings, ensuring projects remain on track commercially and programmatically. The Project Quantity Surveyor will also administer contracts, primarily under JCT forms, and support Employer's Agent / Contract Administrator duties where required.

    The Project Quantity Surveyor

    The ideal Project Quantity Surveyor will have 3-6 years' UK experience within a consultancy or client-side environment. A Project Quantity Surveyor should have experience running tender processes and managing procurement. Strong knowledge of JCT contracts is important for this Project Quantity Surveyor role. A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is preferred, with MRICS or working towards seen as advantageous. The Project Quantity Surveyor will be confident, commercially aware, and capable of managing responsibilities across multiple projects.
