How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you a fully qualified Client Manager looking to join a firm that values its people, offers real ownership of your client portfolio, and supports your ongoing progression? 

    This is an opportunity to step into a role within an established accountancy practice, taking ownership of your clients while supporting and developing a wider team. You’ll be working with experienced colleagues across accounts and tax, with regular exposure to senior stakeholders and the chance to build strong client relationships. 

    Key responsibilities as Client Manager:

    Managing your own portfolio with minimal Partner oversight
    Acting as the main point of contact
    Leading meetings, including onboarding and review meetings
    Reviewing statutory accounts and financial statements
    Reviewing corporate and personal tax returns
    Supporting routine tax planning work
    Ensuring all work is delivered accurately and within deadlines
    Managing workflow across your portfolio and overseeing team delivery
    Delegating and reviewing work to support junior team members
    Identifying opportunities for additional work with existing clients
    Providing commercially focused support clients
    What we’re looking for in a Client Manager:

    ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
    Strong experience within an accountancy practice
    Proven experience managing a client portfolio
    Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance
    Confident reviewing work and managing relationships
    Strong organisational and workflow management skills
    Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
    Commercial awareness and a proactive approach
    This is a full-time, permanent role, offering hybrid (1 day per week from home) and flexible working.
