How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Contracts Manager

    Our client, an established Principal Contractor with an enviable pipeline of work in Scotland have an opening for a Contracts Manager to join them on a PERM basis.

    Projects: Height Services (Safety Systems)

    Key Responsibilities

    * Conduct site surveys to assess fall protection requirements

    * Prepare detailed reports following inspections and testing

    * Assist with the design and specification of fall protection systems

    * Compile quotations based on survey findings and client requirements

    * Liaise directly with clients, contractors, and stakeholders

    * Support or oversee installation of systems where required

    * Carry out inspection, testing, and certification of systems

    * Ensure all work complies with relevant health & safety standards and legislation

    * Maintain accurate records and documentation for all projects

    Types of Systems Covered

    * Horizontal lifeline systems (roof lines)

    * Fall arrest anchors and abseiling anchors

    * Guardrail systems

    * Access ladders and step units

    * Walkways and access platforms

    Requirements

    * Proven experience in fall protection systems or a closely related industry (e.g. roofing, access systems, height safety)

    * Experience in surveying, reporting, and quoting work

    * Good understanding of relevant standards and legislation (e.g. working at height regulations, BS/EN standards)

    * Strong written and verbal communication skills

    * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

    * Competent with basic IT systems (report writing, spreadsheets, etc.)

    * Full UK driving licence
