How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We here at Siamo Recruitment are working with one of Europe’s leading engineering and manufacturing firm paving the way for their market. Due to continued success and stable growth our client is recruiting for a Service Technician, Junior within their career looking to take themselves forward in their career.
     
    As the Service Technician it is essential the candidates have exposure of minimum 1 year within a likeminded role .
     
    You will bond and develop with a growing team reporting to management and ensure that production is set-up to meet customer requirements in respect to quality, quantity and delivery of product for each shift
     
    Hours & Salary:

    NIGHTS: SUN 20:50pm – 06:00am & MON-THURS 22:30PM – 06:00
    £33,000 - £35,000 DOE

    As the Service Technician you will hold the below responsibilities:

    Promote support and maintain a safe working environment, in conjunction with 5S standards.
    Lead the Production Team, through effective planning, organisation and support, to achieve the required output, with the allocated resources, to the required quality standards.
    Ensure routine activities such as TPM and quality checks are carried out.
    Support, and encourage improvement activities.
    Train production operators to standards required.
    Operate in accordance with Policies and Procedures.
    Provide first line technical response and problem resolution, working with the Support Functions where necessary.
    Support the Team Leader in adherence to process.
    Support Team Member’s well-being.
    Complies with all company policies, procedures and guidelines including code of conduct, health and safety, environment, quality, discipline, grievance and equal opportunities. 

    This Service Technician role requires the below skills, exposure and qualifications:

    Good awareness of Health & Safety
    Used to working in a high-volume automotive environment and work well under pressure
    Good levels of literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
    Leadership Skills
    High volume assembly experience in JIT environment preferably Automotive
    Communication skills
    Practical Engineering skills
