Group R&D Manager

Our client is a highly respected advanced materials manufacturer, supplying innovative acoustic and thermal solutions into the global automotive sector is looking for a Group R&D Manager to take ownership of materials, product and process development.

This is a rare opportunity to join at a senior level and directly influence future product and technology development.

Key responsibilities as a Group R&D Manager:

* Lead the Group R&D strategy across multiple sites

* Drive development of new materials, products and processes

* Lead innovation activity around a proprietary nonwoven technology

* Manage testing, validation and technical compliance

You will work cross-functionally across engineering, manufacturing, commercial and supply chain teams, while also collaborating with customers, suppliers and academic partners.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll also be responsible for developing a small technical team and ensuring innovation is delivered through to commercial success.

What we’re looking for from a Group R&D Manager:

* Background in materials science, engineering or similar

* Experience in R&D within manufacturing or industrial environments

* Knowledge of nonwovens, fibres or insulation materials

* Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
