How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Dispute Resolution Partner

    A highly regarded South East Legal 500 regional law firm based in Guildford are looking for a highly motivated, driven, Commercial Litigation Partner to join their established commercial litigation team.


    The role

    The commercial dispute resolution team boasts some enviable blue-chip clients and a caseload which includes complex domestic and cross-border disputes. You will work alongside two other Partners, as well as a an Associate, Trainee Solicitor and Legal Secretary. There is also a wider team across the firm's other offices.


    As part of the team, you’ll build your experience working collaboratively on some challenging disputes while also running and building your own caseload. The role offers a significant level of variety and interest. You will work across a range of sectors and work-types, which may include commercial contract disputes, insolvency disputes, fraud, professional negligence, IP and international arbitration. Clients will span many sectors, including financial services, energy, hospitality, retail and technology.


    The firm’s clients are significant in size and a number of them operate internationally.


    About you

    Please apply if you are an experienced Senior Dispute Resolution Solicitor or Partner with a minimum of 7 years PQE.


    You’ll need to be hard working, resourceful, responsive and resilient, with the ability to grasp new challenges and areas of law quickly and accurately. You need to be able to provide pragmatic and commercial solutions tailored to a range of different clients. You should have the ability to supervise and develop others and be willing to engage in peer-to-peer discussions with senior colleagues as part of a close-knit team.


    You should have a following of clients or referrers or have a proven track record in winning new clients. It is also essential that you have experience of supervising more junior members of staff.
