How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are looking for passionate individuals to join our Aftermarket Support team as a Product Support Engineer at our Wolverhampton site.

    Your Role

    As a Product Support Engineer, you'll play a critical role in supporting our in-service aerospace products, providing technical expertise and innovative solutions to Prime Contractors, Airline Operators, and Aftermarket teams. You'll also support the introduction of new products, ensuring readiness and maintainability from day one.

    Key Responsibilities

    *Deliver technical advice and problem resolution for in-service equipment (both externally and internally) and new product introductions.
    *Monitor product reliability, identify fault trends, and drive systemic improvements.
    *Develop robust troubleshooting strategies at the system level.
    *Prepare and deliver engaging training material for Aircraft Operators.
    *Collaborate with Technical Publications to ensure accuracy of technical manuals and bulletins.
    *Support development of repair schemes and management of rotable parts.
    *Contribute to maintenance planning, direct maintenance cost analysis, and in-service readiness.
    *Represent Safran in technical reviews with customers and provide expertise to our Customer Response Centre.

    What You'll Bring

    *Mechanical or electrical engineering background (Essential)
    *Practical/hands on experience (Desirable)
    *Knowledge of hydro-mechanical or electro-mechanical systems (Essential)
    *Exposure to Highlift/Nacelle Actuation or Military systems (Desirable)
    *Strong analytical and computer literacy skills (Essential)
    *Experience with ILS/LSA methodologies (Desirable)
    *Ability to think globally regarding the impact of product changes
