How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Parts Supervisor

    Location: Rochford, Essex
    Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week with overtime as required (including occasional Saturdays)

    We are recruiting for a proactive and customer-focused Parts Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of a busy parts and retail department. This role involves overseeing showroom operations, supporting the team, and ensuring high standards across customer service, stock control, and sales.

    Key Responsibilities
    Support the daily running of the parts department and showroom
    Deliver high levels of customer service both in person and remotely
    Process sales, quotations, and orders, including sourcing parts
    Maintain showroom standards, ensuring stock is well presented and available
    Manage stock control, including stock checks and transfers between sites
    Handle point-of-sale transactions and generate invoices
    Promote products and identify upselling opportunities
    Assist with deliveries, loading and unloading goods where required
    Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
    Ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety standardsSkills & Experience Required
    Previous experience in a parts, retail, or showroom environment
    Sales experience with a target-driven approach
    Knowledge of agricultural, horticultural, or similar machinery/products preferred
    Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
    Excellent communication skills across face-to-face, phone, and email
    Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems
    Customer-focused with a professional and approachable manner
