We’re recruiting for an Automation & Metallics Engineer to join a Manufacturing Technologies team, supporting advanced production through automation and robotics.
The Role
* Deploy and support automated machinery in complex assembly environments
* Develop automated processes (drilling, fastening, cold-working, sealing)
* Work with robotics, Cartesian systems, and cobots
* Define and introduce new machinery in line with safety standards
* Provide technical support and continuous improvement to existing equipment
* Lead and support automation-focused projects
What We’re Looking For
* Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
* Background in automation and/or robotics
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes
* Understanding of Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) and REACH Regulation
* Project management experience
* Strong problem-solving skills (PPS)
* Data analysis skills with tools like Minitab or Skywise
* Good communication and stakeholder management
