How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Production Supervisor

    As a Production Supervisor, you will take responsibility for the safe and effective day-to-day operation of the Press Shop on shift.
    This is a hands-on leadership role focused on real-time production control, team deployment and maintaining high standards across safety, quality, delivery, cost and people. You will act as the first point of escalation for operational issues, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption to production.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead the safe, efficient operation of the Press Shop, maintaining strong shop-floor control throughout the shift
    Deploy labour effectively to meet production plans, responding to absences and changing priorities
    Maintain high standards across safety, quality, housekeeping, 5S and standard work
    Act as first-line response for downtime, quality issues, tooling concerns and operational disruptions
    Monitor hourly and shift performance, implementing recovery actions where required
    Ensure all in-process, first-off and patrol checks are completed and escalated where necessary
    Communicate effectively within the team and deliver clear, structured shift handovers
    Escalate issues promptly to relevant support functions including Maintenance, Quality and Logistics
    Coach and develop team members, reinforcing standards, behaviours and accountability
    Manage day-to-day people matters including attendance, conduct and performance in line with company policyWhat We’re Looking For

    Proven experience in a Production Supervisor or similar shop-floor leadership role
    Strong understanding of safety, quality and production control within manufacturing
    Experience leading teams in a fast-paced operational environment
    Confident decision-maker with the ability to remain calm under pressure
    Strong communication and organisational skills
    Ability to challenge and maintain standards in a fair and consistent manner
    Basic understanding of KPIs, performance tracking and shift reportingPreferred Experience

    Experience within a press shop, stamping or metal manufacturing environment
    Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools such as TPM, 5S and 5 Why problem solving
    Familiarity with OEE and continuous improvement methodologies
    Experience working with tooling, press changeovers and cross-functional teams
