How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Estimator - Glazing/Curtain Wall/Glass - Kent

    The Company

    * My client have a trusted name in the glazing industry, carrying out large scale structural projects.

    * The company prides itself on its strong, family-oriented culture and low staff turnover, with many employees having been with the company for over a decade. This longevity is a testament to the positive working environment and the strong sense of community within the business.

    * Their portfolio includes high-profile commercial and government projects, as well as working for globally recognised brands and institutions requiring elevated security standards.

    * With around 70 sites currently in operation, they handles projects ranging from £10k to £2m.

    * HQ based near Crayford, Kent.

    The Role - Estimator

    My client are looking to an Estimator to join them full-time in their HQ in Kent.
    *You will need to have previous experience in estimating, within Glazing / Curtain Wall*

    Key Responsibilities Include

    * Cost analysis and forecasting

    * Producing detailed tender submissions

    * Bid preparation

    * Collaborating with the design and contracts teams to ensure alignment between pricing and project delivery

    * Identifying cost-saving opportunities

    * Managing and updating estimating databases and tools

    * Supporting the commercial team with budget tracking and forecasting
