How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    My client, a national provider of Powered Access equipment, is looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Powered Access Engineer to join their expanding workshop team. This is a stable, long-term opportunity within a well-established business that invests heavily in its people and equipment.

    About Your New Workshop Powered Access Engineer Role:
    As a Workshop Powered Access Engineer, you will be based from the company workshop carrying out the service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of powered access equipment.
    Your responsibilities will include:
    Routine maintenance, servicing, and repair of powered access equipment within the workshop
    Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults
    PDI inspection work on new and returned hire equipment
    Completing LOLER inspections
    Ensuring all equipment is safe, compliant, and ready for hireWhat you’ll Need To Succeed For This Workshop Powered Access Engineer Role:
    Previous experience working on powered access equipment
    Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
    A passion for delivering high standards of service
    Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
    IPAF & CAP licence (essential)
    NVQ qualification or equivalent
    Full UK Driving Licence
