About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a well-established 40-bed residential care home supporting adult residents, including those living with dementia. This maternity cover role is ideal for a confident leader who can maintain high standards of care, compliance, and team performance within a supportive and stable environment.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and all relevant legislation
Provide strong, visible leadership to the care team
Maintain and enhance high standards of person-centred care
Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and resident wellbeing
Manage staffing, recruitment, training, and performance
Maintain occupancy levels and support the admissions process
Build positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
Monitor budgets and ensure efficient use of resources
Promote a positive, homely, and respectful environment
Requirements
Previous experience as a Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager ready to step up
Proven experience within an adult residential care home
Strong understanding of CQC standards and regulatory frameworks
NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to manage a medium-sized service (approx. 40 beds)
Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
