How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    My client with over 40 years’ experience, has a proven track record in the design, manufacture and supply of products to the Nuclear, Oil and Gas and offshore renewable energy markets.
    The company combines technical innovation with excellent customer service, delivering safe, efficient and cost effective solutions, tailored to meet customer demands and market needs.
    who are heavily involved with various high profile industries require a Senior / Mechanical Design Engineer with good software ability.
    Due to major influx of workload, you will be required to provide expertise in various projects including Nuclear, subsea offshore, renewable and marine related projects.
    Ideally you will be able to demonstrate your skills in Inventor software and have Mechanical design knowledge also in AutoCAD and related software, engineering qualities in FEA, Mechanical Calcs is essential.
    Excellent workload and projects to work on for a suitable Engineer with the design capability.
    Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview
    * Control of drawings using product data management software
    * Preparing final designs including detailed drawings and general arrangements
    * Producing bespoke designs
    * Creating rapid prototypes and FEA models of products
    * Designing hose fittings and machine modifications
    * Working with the development team to carry out physical testing of products
    * Post inspection of products and making final design adjustments
    * Providing sales department with product details and visualisations
    * Liaising with machining contractors to assist with any technical queries
    * Using Autodesk Inventor
    Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements
    * Ideally qualified in a mechanical discipline
    * Industry experience within a mechanical design position
    * Experience with design from initial concept to finished detailing
    * Be self-sufficient within mechanical design
    * Be keen for innovating new products
    * 3D design software experience, ideally Autodesk Inventor/FEA
    * Presenting skills
    * Proficient with MS Office
