How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Agency: Aspire People

Aspire People are excited to be recruiting on behalf of a high-achieving and inclusive primary school in Telford, who are seeking a strong, confident, and committed Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with a clear pathway to a permanent role for the right candidate. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school with high expectations and a strong focus on pupil outcomes, where staff are supported to deliver their very best. The leadership team is experienced and supportive, creating a positive environment where both staff and pupils can thrive.

    The Role:
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in preparing pupils for their end of Key Stage 2 assessments (SATs) and their transition to secondary school. You will be expected to deliver engaging, structured, and challenging lessons that raise attainment while also supporting pupils' confidence and wellbeing.

    Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Upper Key Stage 2 curriculum
Prepare pupils effectively for SATs and end-of-year assessments
Use assessment data to inform teaching and accelerate progress
Create a focused, positive, and well-managed classroom environment
Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff

    Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 (placements considered for ECTs with strong KS2 exposure)
Strong understanding of Year 6 expectations and SATs preparation
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
A resilient, proactive, and dedicated approach
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

    What Aspire People Offer:

    Competitive rates of pay
Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement
Access to CPD and professional development opportunities
Opportunity to secure a permanent role
The chance to work in a supportive, ambitious, and inclusive school

If you are a motivated and driven Year 6 Teacher looking to make a real impact in your next role this September, we would love to hear from you.

To apply, please contact Aspire People or submit your CV today.
