How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    6 month contract
    We are seeking a highly organised and professional Office Administrator to join our client's team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily office functions, providing administrative support, and maintaining effective communication across departments. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organisational skills and experience in office management to contribute to a thriving organisation.

    Duties

    * Manage incoming calls with professional phone etiquette and direct enquiries appropriately

    * Organise and maintain filing systems, both physical and digital, ensuring easy retrieval of information

    * Prepare and process documents using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications

    * Perform data entry tasks accurately using programmes such as QuickBooks and other relevant software

    * Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and events, ensuring all logistics are coordinated efficiently

    * Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and expense tracking

    * Handle correspondence via email and postal mail, ensuring timely responses

    * Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations

    * Support other administrative tasks as required to facilitate overall office efficiency

    Qualifications

    * Proven office experience with strong organisational skills

    * Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    * Excellent typing speed and data entry skills with high accuracy levels

    * Strong telephone etiquette and communication skills

    * Previous clerical or administrative experience is preferred

    * Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

    * Demonstrated organisational skills with attention to detail

    * Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, scanners, and telephony systems

    This role requires a proactive individual capable of multitasking whilst maintaining professionalism. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, resourceful, and eager to support the organisation’s administrative needs efficiently
