How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Join Our Digital Transformation Journey at Solihull College & University Centre

Are you ready to shape the future of digital innovation in education? Solihull College & University Centre is seeking a dynamic and creative Digital Projects Manager to join our forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who excels in leading digital transformation, inspiring talented colleagues, and delivering impactful technological solutions. If you are passionate about driving digital change and making a meaningful contribution, we look forward to hearing from you.

As Digital Projects Manager, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating people, processes, and technology to achieve our strategic digital objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels to ensure the successful and timely implementation of innovative digital solutions across the College.

You will oversee the planning and delivery of digital projects aligned with our Digital Transformation Strategy. Leading a team of developers and analysts, you will encourage effective communication and collaboration, using cutting-edge technologies and ITIL best practices to enhance the digital experience for all stakeholders. Your leadership will be central to driving successful transformation projects within the organisation.

You will champion greater efficiency and productivity throughout the College by utilising integration, artificial intelligence, and automation in both business support services and the curriculum.

The role also involves managing project budgets, allocating resources effectively, and monitoring the financial progress of all digital initiatives.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a PRINCE2 or ITIL qualification, in addition to holding a relevant degree or having equivalent experience. To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate substantial experience in managing digital projects and leading teams to successful outcomes.

You will possess a strong understanding of digital transformation, ITIL methodologies, and emerging technological trends. Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to engage stakeholders at all levels are essential.

    Previous applicants need not apply.

The College is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse community and welcomes applications from individuals across all sectors. We aim to reflect the diversity of our student population in our staff profile, ensuring that we provide the best possible experience and environment for our learners. Our goal is to continue to develop a vibrant, supportive, and inclusive workplace where all staff can thrive.

For the next stage in the process, you will be required to attend the College’s premises, unless exceptional circumstances apply.

Solihull College & University Centre is committed to ensuring a safe environment for all students and expects all staff to engage fully with this commitment.
