How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Secondary Cover Supervisor
    Location: South East London
Pay Range: £100 - £126.36 per day (PAYE or Umbrella)
    Contract Type: Daily Supply

ANZUK Education is working with a range of supportive and diverse secondary schools in Southeast London seeking flexible and adaptable Secondary Cover Supervisors to support their teams from April 2026. This daily supply role offers the opportunity to supervise learning across subject areas, work in a variety of school environments, and maintain strong classroom practice without the responsibility for planning or assessment.

The schools are known for clear behaviour systems, supportive leadership, and consistent cover procedures, enabling cover supervisors to focus on maintaining a calm, productive learning environment and ensuring lessons run smoothly.

This Secondary Cover Supervisor role in Croydon would suit experienced Cover Supervisors, graduates with strong behaviour management skills, or individuals with previous secondary school experience seeking flexible work.

Key Responsibilities of a Secondary Cover Supervisor:

Supervise classes during the short‑term absence of the class teacher.

Deliver pre‑set work and instructions left by teaching staff.

Maintain high expectations for pupil behaviour and engagement.

Manage the classroom environment to ensure learning continues effectively.

Support pupils’ focus, conduct, and progress within the lesson.

Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and reporting procedures.

Build positive working relationships with students and staff across school settings.

    The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working with secondary‑aged students in a school setting.

Be confident supervising KS3–KS4 classes across a range of subjects.

Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

Maintain high expectations for pupil engagement and conduct.

Show a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with school staff.

    What the Schools Offer:

    Supportive senior leadership teams.

    Engaged and respectful students.

Clear cover routines and behaviour policies.

Opportunities for regular bookings and long‑term roles.

A welcoming and inclusive school environment.

Applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis, so early application is encouraged. Apply now to be considered.
If you bring relevant experience and a commitment to supporting high standards in schools, we encourage you to apply — even if you don’t meet every listed requirement.

Benefits of working with ANZUK Education:

Ready2Work app – Control your availability, bookings and schedule from one place.

Crystal‑clear pay – No surprises. PAYE or Umbrella — you choose, we guide.
