For this role you will work under the direction of the Post 16 Campus leadership team and support students with Learning Difficulties to access lunch, social activities and unstructured time in a positive and inclusive way.
This Midday Support Assistant role would be suited to individuals who are calm, caring, and confident supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Midday Support Role:
* Supervise and support students during lunch breaks, including dining areas, social spaces, and outdoor areas
* Assist students with eating and drinking where appropriate, promoting independence and dignity
* Support positive behaviour and social interaction in line with policies
* Provide reassurance and guidance to students who may become anxious or dysregulated
* Ensure students’ safety at all times during the midday period
* Follow individual care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
* Report any concerns, incidents, or accidents promptly to senior staff
* Support personal care needs if required, in line with training and procedures
