How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Account Manager
    London, W11 (with hybrid working)

    About Us

We’re Big Group, an award-winning, independent creative marketing agency who apply bigger thinking to everything we do. For over 30 years, we’ve been helping our clients create memorable EXPERIENCES, drive business results to amplify PERFORMANCE, innovate with technology to drive TRANSFORMATION, and nurture and connect brands with consumers to build genuine COMMUNITIES.

At Big Group, we value our employees, so have given them ownership of the company. In November 2022, we became an Employee-Owned Trust (EOT), meaning that on passing probation, every single employee owns a share of the company. This will, in turn, give employees more of a sense of belonging and transparency around the business and future plans. It also allows employees to potentially benefit financially from the success of the business.

We are now looking for a Senior Account Manager to join us on a full-time, six-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover), working 37.5 hours per week with flexible, hybrid working available. For the right candidate, there is the potential to extend the contract.

    The Benefits

    - Salary of £38,000 - £45,000 pro rata
    - 23 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
    - Up to five paid days of charity work per year
    - Hybrid working
    - Health cashback scheme
    - Life cover
    - Pension scheme
    - Profit share
    - Gym discounts
    - Social events throughout the year
    - A welcoming and friendly office environment
    - Home & Tech scheme savings
    - Salary sacrifice benefits, including cycle to work scheme, workplace nursery, and electric vehicle scheme

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented account manager from a marketing or creative agency background, with expertise in the consumer goods or consumer electronics sector, to take on a high-impact role within our leading organisation.

You’ll have the chance to work on complex, multi-channel projects, within an employee-owned business where you’ll have real influence, autonomy, as well as the opportunity to contribute to both client success and the wider growth of the agency.

What’s more, with superb benefits, rewards and perks, alongside chances to develop your skills and portfolio of experience, you’ll be perfectly positioned to achieve your goals.

    The Role

As a Senior Account Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of key client accounts, acting as their trusted partner and ensuring strategic growth.

Reporting to the Client Innovation Director, you will oversee complex programmes spanning 2D creative and retail estate management.

You’ll be autonomous and focused on building relationships both with your clients and with our internal teams to enable the delivery of outstanding results.

This varied role will see you involved in everything from client relationships, commercial management and accountability, to mentoring junior team members.

    About You

To be considered as a Senior Account Manager, you will need:

    - Experience within the consumer goods and consumer electronics sector
    - At least four years’ experience in account management within a marketing or creative agency

    - Strong leadership skills
    - To be comfortable presenting ideas and leading client meetings
    - A strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
    - An awareness of industry trends and the ability to apply them to client strategies
    - To be comfortable using AI (Microsoft Co-Pilot) to support work

Other organisations may call this role Creative Account Manager, Senior Client Manager, Client Services Manager, Account Director, Client Partner, or Marketing Account Manager.
