How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Site Engineer (Pumps)

    Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire (covering surrounding areas)
    Salary: Competitive + overtime + expenses + benefits
    Job Type: Full-time, permanent

    The Opportunity

    A well-established, market-leading engineering business is looking to recruit an Electrical Site Engineer to join its growing field team.

    This is a hands-on, site-based role working across Doncaster and the surrounding area, supporting the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of pumping equipment. If you prefer being out on-site rather than stuck behind a desk, this role will suit you down to the ground.

    The Role

    * Installation, commissioning and servicing of pumping equipment

    * Carrying out electrical work alongside a Mechanical Site Engineer

    * Supporting breakdowns and aftersales service when required

    * Completing site reports and obtaining customer sign-off

    * Ensuring all tools and materials are prepared ahead of site visits

    * Working to strict health & safety standards

    * Representing the business professionally on client sites

    * Communicating effectively with customers and internal teams

    Requirements

    Essential:

    * Electrical qualification (17th or 18th Edition – BS7671)

    * C&G Level 3 in Inspection & Testing

    * Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively

    * Flexible approach to working hours

    * Strong team player with a proactive attitude

    Desirable:

    * Experience in a field service or maintenance role

    * Experience working with pumps or similar equipment

    * Confined space training

    * First Aid certification

    * CSCS card
