How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Graduate Teaching Assistant - Southwark

    Start Date: Immediate
    Salary: £100 - £116 per day

    Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge? Or a recent graduate keen to gain hands-on experience supporting children with additional needs? If so, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

    Remedy are supporting a range of welcoming and well-regarded schools in Southwark who are looking to appoint dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants. These roles involve supporting students with SEN and SEMH needs, helping them to access learning and achieve their full potential.

    This position would suit someone with prior experience in a school or care setting, as well as graduates considering a future career in education or educational psychology.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide 1:1 support for students with SEN and SEMH needs
    Help manage behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
    Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support individual learning plans
    Build strong, supportive relationships with students
    Follow safeguarding and health and safety procedures at all timesIdeal Candidate

    Previous experience working with children or in a school setting
    Confident managing behaviour and building positive relationships
