Job Description

Trident Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Band 7 Sonographer for a locum assignment within a busy NHS department in South London. The successful candidate will independently perform a wide range of obstetric and general ultrasound scans, delivering high‑quality imaging and patient‑centred care.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex obstetric ultrasound examinations

• Carry out non‑obstetric/general ultrasound including abdominal, pelvic, small parts, and vascular (if applicable) • Provide clear, accurate imaging reports

• Work autonomously while contributing to a multidisciplinary team

• Ensure high standards of patient care and safety

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Support smooth departmental workflow and clinical administration

Skills and Experience Required

• Strong experience in both obstetric and general ultrasound

• Confident working independently in a fast‑paced clinical environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively

Essential Requirements

• Previous NHS experience

• HCPC or SCoR registration

• Competency across obstetric and non‑obstetric ultrasound modalities

• Unrestricted right to work in the UK
