How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Your new company

    Hays Education is proud to be working in partnership with a well‑established primary school in Coventry that is looking for a dedicated Year 3 teacher to join their team from September. This role offers the flexibility to join the school on a permanent basis or through a long-term supply arrangement.

    Your new role

    You will take full teaching responsibility for a Year 3 class, delivering engaging lessons that support pupils' academic progress and personal development. Working as part of a collaborative and friendly staff team, you will plan, assess and create a structured, supportive learning environment where children feel secure and motivated. The school is looking for a teacher who can bring stability, clear communication and a calm, nurturing approach to the classroom.

    What you'll need to succeed

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    Recent experience teaching within a primary setting, ideally Key Stage 2
    Confident behaviour management and a warm, encouraging approach
    Strong organisational skills and the ability to deliver consistent, high-quality teaching
    A commitment to fostering a positive, secure and engaging learning environment
    Flexibility to work within the school's routines, expectations and values
