The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Gas Engineer to join the Property Operations team, delivering high-quality services across communities in North Somerset.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 39 hours per week, with participation in an out-of-hours standby rota.
About the Role
As part of the Gas Team, you will:
Carry out annual gas servicing, breakdowns and repairs
Complete central heating system maintenance and upgrades
Focus on boiler replacements
Deliver a “right first time” approach to repairs
Work in occupied properties, liaising directly with tenants
Ensure all work complies with Gas Safe regulations and H&S legislation
Complete Gas Safe certificates and associated documentation accurately
Use a tablet/mobile device to manage and receive jobs
Maintain allocated vehicle stock, tools and equipment
Participate in training, toolbox talks and appraisalsYou will also have access to ongoing development opportunities, including licensed asbestos removal training.
What We’re Looking For
Current CCN1, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1, WAT1 and CEN gas qualifications
Relevant City & Guilds or NVQ qualification
Proven experience working in line with Health & Safety legislation
Full, clean UK driving licence (company van provided)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong customer service skills
Basic IT skills (training provided where required)What’s on Offer
