The Role - 1:1 Teaching Assistant
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with a Year 3 pupil who has an EHCP, providing consistent support throughout the school day. You will play a key role in managing behaviour, supporting engagement with learning, and helping the pupil regulate emotions and access the curriculum. The ideal candidate will be calm, resilient and confident in managing challenging behaviour, using effective de-escalation strategies and building a positive relationship with the pupil. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement tailored support strategies and ensure the child is making progress both academically and socially.
