How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Bid Manager (Maternity Cover)
    Start Date: July 2026

Are you an experienced Bid Manager ready to lead complex, high-value opportunities within a dynamic, professional services environment?

We are seeking a highly capable and driven individual to join our team on a maternity cover basis. This is a pivotal role responsible for leading the planning, management and delivery of strategic, gold-grade bids across multiple service lines and sectors.

    The Role
As Senior Bid Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end bid delivery, producing high-quality, client-focused proposals that align with our brand, governance and work-winning strategy. You will lead complex, multi-disciplinary bids, working closely with senior stakeholders to shape compelling solutions that differentiate us in the market.
You will also play a key role in strengthening our bidding capability—driving best practice, enhancing processes and contributing to the continuous improvement of our work-winning approach globally.
    Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of complex, strategic bids from qualification through to submission
Analyse client requirements, drivers and competitive landscapes to shape winning strategies
Facilitate bid workshops to develop compelling value propositions
Manage bid programmes, ensuring timelines, dependencies and governance are effectively controlled
Engage and influence senior stakeholders across the business
Oversee high-quality content creation, review and submission
Coordinate internal teams, subject matter experts and external partners
Lead presentations, including storyboarding, coaching and rehearsal
Drive continuous improvement and share best practice across the bid function
Support the development of strong, insight-led client relationships
    About You
You are an experienced bid professional with a strong track record of managing complex proposals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You bring both strategic insight and hands-on delivery capability, with the confidence to influence at senior levels.

    You will have:

Proven experience leading high-value, multi-disciplinary bids
    Exceptional writing and communication skills
Strong project management and organisational capability
Experience facilitating workshops and leading diverse teams
    Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent attention to detail
    Desirable

Experience within the built environment or professional services sector
    APMP Practitioner (or working towards)
Experience with bid tools (e.g. Qorus) and collaboration platforms (e.g. Mural)
Exposure to marketing, communications or digital bid content
    Why Join our client?
This is an opportunity to take on a high-impact role within a collaborative, forward-thinking organisation. You’ll work on some of the most complex and strategically important bids, while contributing to the ongoing evolution of a global work-winning function
