We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a long-term opportunity in Stanford-le-Hope. This role is ideal for someone with strong setting out expertise who is also confident in managing and overseeing subcontractors on site.
You will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered accurately, safely, and in line with programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out setting out for works on site, ensuring accuracy and compliance with drawings
* Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications
* Oversee and manage a subcontractor responsible for setting out works
* Ensure all works are completed to quality and programme standards
* Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
* Conduct site checks and maintain accurate records
* Support health & safety compliance on site
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Engineer within construction/civils
* Strong setting out skills (essential)
* Experience managing or supervising subcontractors
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or related field
* CSCS card (essential)
Desirable
* Experience on similar infrastructure or construction projects
* Familiarity with surveying equipment (e.g. Leica, Trimble)
