How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for an Animal Management Lecturer to join our Berkshire College of Agriculture team on a full time basis. This is a fixed term role working from May2026 until the 30th of June 2027.

    The role pays from T1 £31,633 up to T11 £45,341 dependent on experience and qualifications.

    Animal Management Lecturer

    The successful applicant will possess the ability to deliver a diverse range of practical and theoretical subjects, including animal behaviour, biology, health, feeding, and accommodation, across both L2 and L3 provisions.Ideally, you will have experience teaching and assessing with various awarding bodies, such as BTEC and City and Guilds. Creativity and inclusivity are crucial, as you will be engaging with a broad range of learners.Therefore, we seek a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and versatile lecturer with a proven track record in further education.Alongside teaching duties, you will also take on course tutorship, requiring a full commitment to supporting students throughout their college journey and into employment or further studies.

    You should ideally hold a degree in a relevant subject area and have demonstrable experience working with animals in industry.A teaching qualification is preferred, and qualifications in assessing learning and internal verification are advantageous.
