About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Lead to join a high-quality care home team. You will work closely with the Home Manager, nurses, and care staff to ensure the delivery of outstanding clinical care, strong governance, and a safe, person-centred environment for all residents.
This is a key leadership role where you will take responsibility for clinical standards, staff support, and continuous improvement, ensuring care consistently meets and exceeds regulatory expectations.
Key responsibilities
Lead and support the nursing and care team to deliver high-quality clinical care
Oversee day-to-day clinical practice within the home
Ensure care plans are accurate, person-centred, and regularly reviewed
Promote best practice in nursing, dementia care, and complex needs support
Support staff through training, mentoring, and clinical supervision
Contribute to clinical audits, governance, and quality assurance systems
Ensure full compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding, and DoLS/MCA requirements
Support infection control, medication management, and risk assessments
Work closely with the Home Manager to drive continuous service improvement
Act as a calm and effective decision-maker in clinical situations
Skills and attributes
Strong clinical background with confidence to lead a nursing/care team
Previous senior care or leadership experience (e.g. Senior Nurse, Deputy, or Team Leader)
Ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure
Passion for high-quality, person-centred care
Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
Good working knowledge of:
CQC regulations
Safeguarding procedures
DoLS / Mental Capacity Act
Clinical audits and governance frameworks
Qualifications
NMC Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD)
Relevant post-registration clinical experience
Leadership or management experience within a care setting is desirable
