How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A welcoming primary school in Lewisham is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP). This specialist unit supports pupils with autism, ADHD, and associated challenging behaviours.

    This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional support to access learning and develop key social, emotional, and communication skills.

    The Role:

    * Provide support to pupils within the ARP, both 1:1 and in small groups

    * Assist children with autism and ADHD in managing behaviour and engaging with learning

    * Support the development of communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation skills

    * Help implement individual support strategies and behaviour plans

    * Work closely with the class teacher and SEN staff to create a structured and supportive environment

    * Support transitions between activities and promote positive routines

    The Ideal Candidate:

    * Experience working with children with additional needs, particularly autism and/or ADHD (in school, care, or similar settings)

    * Understanding of challenging behaviour and strategies to support it

    * Calm, patient, and consistent approach

    * Strong communication and teamwork skills

    * Passionate about supporting children with additional needs

    Requirements:

    * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

    * Right to work in the UK
