How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Deaf Education Teacher - Specialist Provision
    Location: Woodford | Daily Rate: £180-£250 | Full-Time | Immediate Start

    Remedy Education is excited to recruit a passionate and skilled BSL Teacher to join a welcoming, inclusive school in Woodford. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference for deaf and hearing-impaired pupils, supporting their learning, communication, and development in a specialist setting.

    We are looking for a confident, adaptable teacher who can deliver engaging, inclusive lessons using British Sign Language (BSL) to ensure all pupils have full access to the curriculum.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Plan and deliver engaging lessons using BSL for deaf and hearing-impaired pupils

    Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs

    Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, support staff, and the SEN team

    Promote inclusive classroom practices and positive engagement

    Monitor pupil progress and support strong educational outcomes

    Foster pupils' communication, confidence, and independence

    What we're looking for:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification

    BSL qualification (Level 2 or above preferred)

    Experience supporting deaf or hearing-impaired pupils is highly desirable

    Strong understanding of inclusive and differentiated teaching

    Excellent communication, classroom management, and teamwork skills

    Enhanced DBS (on Update Service or willing to apply)
