Job Description:
Location: Guildford, Surrey (Office-Based) (35 min by train from London Waterloo)
We are looking for a Construction Management or Quantity Surveying Tutor / Lecturer to our Guildford office. This role is ideal for someone with a Quantity Surveying or Commercial Construction background who wants to transition into education.
This is not just a lecturing role, your focus will be on marking, feedback, and supporting learners, helping the next generation of Quantity Surveyors develop their skills.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lecturing and marking assignments with a focus on Quantity Surveying and commercial construction principles
- Providing clear, structured, and developmental feedback to learners’ assignments
- Supporting learners with day-to-day queries related to their studies
- Monitoring learner progress, engagement, and performance
- Managing learner communication via email and internal systems
- Assisting the academic team with course delivery and administration
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in Quantity Surveying or a commercial construction role (essential)
- Background in areas such as cost planning, procurement, contracts, or commercial management
- Strong written communication skills (essential for marking and feedback)
- Good attention to detail and ability to assess technical work
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, email, online systems)
- Organised, reliable, and proactive
- Interest in developing a long-term career in education or training
