Role: Talent Acquisition Advisor
Place of Work: Glasgow, City Centre
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Do you want to own recruitment, not just process it?
At Jones Whyte, our people are at the centre of everything we do. Following 12 consecutive years of stable growth, we have recently appointed a Director of People and we are expanding our People Team; looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Advisor to join us at an exciting stage of our journey.
We're hiring a Talent Acquisition Advisor to take the lead on how we attract, hire and onboard great people at Jones Whyte. This is a role with real scope: you'll shape our employer brand, build talent pipelines before we need them, and make sure every candidate and new starter has an experience worth talking about.
You'll be joining a People function that operates in an AI-first way which means less admin, more impact, and a genuine expectation that you'll use technology to do this job better.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading recruitment end-to-end: from briefing hiring managers and writing role profiles through to offer and acceptance. You'll run fair, well-designed processes and use AI-enabled tools to improve the speed and quality of hiring decisions. You'll also manage agency relationships commercially, with a clear goal of reducing reliance on them over time.
- Building our employer brand: taking an active role in shaping how Jones Whyte is perceived in the Scottish legal market. That means owning our social media presence from a talent perspective, developing an alumni network and making sure our candidate experience is something people remember for the right reasons.
- Owning the early experience: your responsibility doesn't end at offer acceptance. You'll ensure new joiners have a structured, high-quality onboarding experience and make sure their early development needs are picked up quickly by our learning & development manager.
You'll work closely with hiring managers, Partners and the wider People team acting as a trusted adviser.
This is not a high-volume, process-heavy recruitment role. The firm is growing, the People function is ambitious, and there's genuine appetite to do recruitment well with the tools, autonomy and stakeholder support to make that happen.
You'll be measured on outcomes that matter: time-to-hire, offer acceptance rates, onboarding satisfaction, and the quality of hires over time. You’ll have the space to continue to build our brand, our talent pipeline, and reputation in the market.
What We're Looking For
You'll need:
- Proven experience running end-to-end recruitment in a professional services environment
- The confidence to advise and influence senior stakeholders, including Partners
- A commercial mindset and genuine understanding of what good hiring looks like
- Comfort with AI tools, applicant tracking systems and using data to drive decisions
- Strong communication skills: clear, credible and professional
It would also be great if you have:
- Experience in employer branding or talent attraction
- Experience in a law firm or regulated professional services environment
