How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Learning Support Professional
    Location: Fulham, London
    Full-Time | Term-Time

    Are you a passionate Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant looking to make a genuine impact? We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Professional to join a supportive, values-driven alternative provision in Fulham.

    This is a rewarding opportunity to support students at risk of exclusion or who have experienced barriers to mainstream education, helping them re-engage, build confidence, and achieve their potential.

    The Role

    As a Learning Support Professional, you will:

    * Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and additional needs

    * Work closely with teachers to adapt learning materials and strategies

    * Support students’ social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs

    * Build strong, positive relationships to encourage engagement, resilience, and confidence

    * Help create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment

    * Promote positive behaviour and support students in overcoming barriers to learning

    About the Provision

    This is a specialist setting supporting learners across Hammersmith & Fulham. Students may have experienced disrupted education and require a more personalised, nurturing approach.

    The setting focuses on:

    * Holistic support (education, mental health, family context, SEN)

    * Developing life skills, employability, and positive relationships

    * Supporting students to make safe, informed life choices

    * Creating a caring, inclusive, and supportive environment

    Staff work collaboratively with families and external professionals to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.

    What We’re Looking For

    * Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or Support Worker

    * Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs

    * Strong communication and relationship-building skills
