How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a current Applications Specialist with 1-2 years of experience in the medical imaging sector, or a radiographer looking to move into the commercial sector.

    The company

    We are supporting a world-renowned medical imaging company that is looking to hire an X-Ray Applications Specialist to help sustain and continue its growth across Scotland. Through extensive training and development and utilising your clinical knowledge of ultrasound, you will be able to become a highly adept and expert X-Ray Applications Specialist in no time.

    The role

    In this role you will become an ambassador for an advanced, state-of-the-art X-Ray portfolio, you will enhance and develop your skills in the sector while working for a company that truly values the pivotal role you perform in their business. You will build strong relationships with our client’s customers and support the sales team to provide excellent clinical and technical support. You will work alongside the Account Managers, supporting them to deliver a strong sales output for your region.

    The requirements

    You’ll be an NHS Band 5 to 7 radiographer or equivalent with a background in radiography.

    • A proactive approach, with an open-minded and positive mindset
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to operate credibly when customer-facing
    • Accustomed to the software/IT systems associated with X-Ray
    • Able to work in a commercial environment with the potential to influence sales
    • Clinical experience working with X-Ray equipment
    • Comfortable travelling regularly across the region (Scotland)

    This role is home-based, but you will need to be willing to travel within your region. Competitive salary with excellent bonus scheme and option for a company car or car allowance.
