Power BI Developer / Data Modelling Specialist

We’re working with an operationally complex, multi-site business seeking an experienced Power BI Developer / Data Modelling Specialist to support a high-impact data transformation project.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping how data is used across the organisation, delivering insights that drive performance, efficiency, and decision-making.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality Power BI reporting solutions, working closely with stakeholders across operations, finance, sales, and marketing.
This role combines hands-on dashboard development, data modelling, and stakeholder engagement, with a strong focus on delivering actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build visually engaging Power BI dashboards
- Develop and optimise data models and semantic layers
- Work with Microsoft Fabric to support modern data architecture
- Integrate data from multiple systems (e.g. ERP, CRM, operational platforms)
- Create advanced DAX measures to track key KPIs
- Write and optimise SQL queries for data preparation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Promote best practices in data visualisation and reporting
Required Experience
- Strong experience with Power BI (end-to-end development)
- Advanced DAX and data modelling skills
- Solid SQL capability
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric (or similar platforms)
- Proven ability to work with stakeholders and deliver business-focused insights
- Strong understanding of data modelling best practices (e.g. Star schema)
Nice to Have
- Experience working in multi-site or operationally complex environments
- Exposure to systems such as ERP, CRM, booking or operational platforms
- Experience with ETL pipelines / Azure data services
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development
