How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

You don't have to be a teacher to change how a child feels about school. Sometimes it's the quiet consistency of one supportive adult that makes the biggest difference. That's what we're looking for in Coventry right now.

We're registering SEN Teaching Assistants for full-time, long-term positions in mainstream primary and secondary schools across Coventry and Warwickshire. These aren't short-term placements. They're roles where you build relationships, see real progress, and become a trusted part of the team.

    What you'll be doing:

    * Supporting pupils with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties

    * Working 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and emotional regulation throughout the school day

    * Collaborating with class teachers, SENCOs, and wider inclusion teams to deliver targeted support

    * Helping pupils access the curriculum in ways that work for them, adapting to their needs day to day

    * Contributing to a calm, structured classroom environment where every pupil can feel settled

    * Building consistent, trusted relationships that help pupils feel safe and ready to learn

    What we're looking for:

    * Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting, ideally supporting pupils with SEN

    * A background in psychology, child development, or education is a genuine advantage

    * Knowledge of common SEN needs and a real curiosity about the reasons behind behaviour

    * The ability to stay calm, patient, and encouraging when things get difficult

    * Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with teachers and support staff

    * An Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

    What's on offer:

    * Full-time, long-term placements in schools across Coventry and Warwickshire

    * Consistent weekly hours with a clear, stable routine

    * Access to CPD

    * A dedicated consultant who'll match you to schools that fit your skills and career goals

    * Competitive pay, discussed at registration

    Why Sprint?

If you're looking to work as a teacher in a mainstream classroom, providing day-to-day supply cover, we're probably not the agency for you. But if you're passionate about supporting students with additional needs and want a long-term role where you can build consistency and see the impact of your work every day, that's exactly what we do.

Even if you're not looking to start until September, it's worth getting in touch now. The best long-term placements fill early, and we'd rather take the time to find the right fit for you.
