We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a reputable main contractor delivering a £3m extension to an existing mental health facility in Cannock. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a meaningful healthcare project, with a company known for delivering high-quality schemes across the public sector.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and client representatives within a live healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day site operations on a live healthcare facility
* Coordinate subcontractors and site labour
* Ensure health & safety compliance and site standards are maintained
* Monitor programme and drive progress to meet key milestones
* Maintain quality control and ensure work meets specification
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams
* Oversee logistics, deliveries, and site organisation
* Produce and manage site documentation and reporting
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor
* Experience delivering healthcare, education, or public sector projects preferred
* Experience working in live environments highly desirable
* Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (essential)
