How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Production Supervisor / Production Manager
    Location: Redditch
    Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

    We are looking for a driven and motivated individual to join our clients team within the manufacturing sector. If you are a production supervisor who enjoys motivating your team then this is the perfect opportunity for you.

    The Role
    As a Production Supervisor / Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring efficiency, quality standards, and on-time delivery. You will play a key role in managing shop floor operations and leading a team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Supervise and coordinate daily production operations

    * Lead, motivate, and manage a team of production staff

    * Ensure production targets and deadlines are met

    * Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping

    * Monitor workflow, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements

    * Liaise with other departments including planning, quality, and maintenance

    * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

    * Assist with training and development of team members

    Requirements

    * Proven experience in a production supervisory or management role

    * Strong background in sheet metal, welding, and fabrication (essential)

    * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

    * Excellent leadership and communication skills

    * Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities

    * Hands-on approach with a proactive attitude

    * Knowledge of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement practices
