How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client is seeking an experienced Quality and Health & Safety Engineer to play a key role in keeping people safe, standards high, and quality front and centre across our UK operation.

    The successful candidate will be passionate about quality, health & safety, enjoy working closely with people across the business, and want to make a genuine impact in a global organisation with a proud heritage!

    You will be responsible for maintaining and improving quality management systems, supporting compliance with health and safety legislation, and promoting a positive culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the business.

    Working closely with operational, technical, and commercial teams, you’ll ensure our products, processes, and working environments meet both regulatory requirements and internal standards.

    What you’ll be doing

    Maintaining and continuously improving quality management systems and procedures

    Monitoring product and process quality, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement

    Investigating quality issues, incidents, and near misses, ensuring effective corrective actions are taken

    Supporting internal and external audits and compliance activity

    Developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures

    Conducting risk assessments, audits, and site inspections

    Promoting a positive health & safety culture through training, communication, and engagement

    Providing advice and guidance to managers and teams across the business

    Preparing reports and updates for senior management

    What we’re looking for

    Proven experience in a quality, with good knowledge of health and safety, or a compliance focused role

    Capable of implementing ISO into our UK business

    Experience working with quality management systems and audit processes

    Relevant qualification in Quality, Engineering, Health and Safety, or a related discipline

    Excellent attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach

    Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels

    Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

    Willingness to travel within the UK as required
