How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A fast-growing refreshment provider is expanding and has created a new opportunity for an experienced Coffee Field Service Engineer to join their team. They are looking for someone based in the Glasgow area. The role offers a competitive basic salary of up to £38k, with additional bonus company car with personal usage, full door to door payments, 33 days holiday and much more. You'll also have the chance to work with some of the most recognisable high‑street chains, carrying out servicing and repairs on a range of commercial coffee machines.     Responsibilities of Coffee Field Service Engineer

    Install, commission, and set up coffee equipment to the highest standards to ensure a smooth and positive customer experience.
    Carry out planned preventative maintenance across a wide range of coffee equipment to maintain reliability and performance.
    Respond to reactive breakdowns and complete repairs with a strong focus on achieving first‑time fixes.
    Perform electrical safety checks, including safe isolation, in line with company procedures and safety regulations.
    Provide operator training to customers on correct usage and cleaning procedures to improve equipment longevity and user confidence.

    Benefits of Coffee Field Service Engineer

    Hands-on experience as a Coffee Field Service Engineer, ideally with a background repairing coffee or vending machines, however we will also consider applications from other electrical and mechanical industries such as catering equipment, white goods and gaming.
    Strong Electrical and Mechanical background.
    Familiarity with brands like Cimbali, WMF, Coffetek, and Evoca is a plus.
    Problem-solving mindset with excellent attention to detail.
    Confident communicator, capable of explaining technical information to customers in clear terms.
    Relevant technical qualifications in electrical, mechanical, or engineering fields are advantageous.
    A valid, clean UK driving license is essential.
