How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

£50,000 salary - strong earning potential without shift work
Ownership & autonomy - real scope to influence site standards and improvements
Backed by leadership - full support from an experienced Engineering ManagerThis is ideal for an engineer looking to transition out of shift work into a more strategic, site-focused position.

Delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across site services
Diagnosing faults and ensuring timely, effective repairs
Driving improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and sustainability
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Quality standards
    Managing contractors and service providers
Supporting installation, commissioning, and project work
Maintaining engineering records, reports, and COSHH systems
Contributing to a strong continuous improvement culture
    About the Business
This is a company that genuinely invests in its people.
With a strong reputation within manufacturing, they combine quality, innovation, and modern engineering practices to stay ahead in a competitive market. The site itself is well-maintained, with ongoing investment and a clear focus on continuous improvement.
Engineers here are given the freedom to make decisions, implement change, and develop professionally.

    About You

Experience within site services, facilities, or utilities engineering
Background in manufacturing, food, FMCG, or similar regulated environments
Recognised engineering qualification (apprenticeship/ONC/HNC or equivalent)
Multi-skilled with both mechanical and electrical knowledge
