We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring that children receive high-quality care and education. The Nursery Assistant will work closely with experienced staff to promote the development and well-being of each child.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
* Provide care and support to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and physical development.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment.
* Support the management team in daily administrative tasks as needed.
* Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting.
* A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be an advantage.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to engage with young children effectively.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. We welcome applicants who are eager to contribute positively to our nursery environment while developing their skills in childcare.
These are permanent roles working Monday to Friday and can be flexible to cover earlier starts or later finishes.
