We are seeking 3 Production Operatives for a well established manufacturing business based in the Hortonwood area of Telford, Shropshire, the working hours for this job will initially be day shifts (7.45am – 4.15pm Monday to Thursday , 8.00am – 1.00pm Friday) - 37 hours per week, but after a 12 week probation period you will move onto a rotating 6-2/2-10 shift pattern Monday to Friday.
The starting rate of pay is £12.80 per hour whilst working on day shifts, but once you move onto a permanent contract and the rotating shift pattern, your pay rate will increase to £15.74 per hour (which includes a shift allowance), with the top end pay rate being £16.18 per hour once you are fully trained and signed off as a competent operator.
Previous experience from within the aerospace, automotive or electronics industry would be well received.
What You Will Do:
Checking and cleaning parts before they are loaded onto the lamination machine
Verify components against technical drawings to ensure accuracy and quality.
Monitor machine performance and address any operational concerns.
Collaborate with the manufacturing department to resolve quality issues.
Ensure all components meet customer standards before progressing to the next production phase.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with company procedures
What You Will Bring:
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with sheet metal, stainless steel, or aluminium is desirable.
Awareness of COSHH standards or experience working within COSHH guidelines.
