The Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established global manufacturing organisation within the sustainable packaging sector. Part of an international group with operations across the UK, Europe, and North America, the business delivers innovative solutions across logistics, food, and industrial markets.
Due to continued growth and a strong focus on compliance and continuous improvement, they are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to support both site and group-level audit activities on an initial contract basis.
The Role
As Internal Auditor, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance, improving systems, and supporting operational excellence within a fast-paced production environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting internal audits across production, operational processes, and site systems
Leading and supporting audits against ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards
Reviewing shopfloor practices to ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and H&S procedures
Identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and risks within manufacturing workflows
Producing clear audit reports with actionable recommendations
Supporting corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
Working closely with production teams, supervisors, and site leadership
Monitoring adherence to SOPs and regulatory requirements
Requirements
Proven experience in an Internal Auditor or similar compliance role
Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 (essential)
Solid understanding of audit processes, risk management, and internal controls
Background in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments (preferred)
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, shopfloor-led environments
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Able to work independently and deliver in a contract setting
