How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Quantity Surveyor - London - £50,000-£55,000

    A modern and fast-growing construction consultancy is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to work across a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial, residential and high-end fit-out schemes. The successful Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in delivering projects while benefiting from a progressive and collaborative working environment. This Quantity Surveyor position offers strong career development and exposure to high-quality clients.

    The appointed Quantity Surveyor will work closely with senior team members, supporting the delivery of projects from inception through to completion. This Quantity Surveyor role offers the chance to take ownership of key project elements, develop client relationships and progress within a forward-thinking consultancy. It is ideally suited to a driven Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career.

    The Role
    * Delivering cost planning, budgeting and feasibility studies as a Quantity Surveyor
    * Managing procurement processes and supporting tendering activities
    * Assisting with contract administration duties (JCT)
    * Monitoring project costs, variations and financial reporting
    * Managing valuations and contributing to final accounts as a Quantity Surveyor
    * Liaising with clients, contractors and project teams
    * Supporting successful project delivery across multiple schemes

    The Quantity Surveyor?
    * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
    * Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the UK market
    * Good understanding of JCT contracts and commercial management
    * Working towards MRICS (or keen to progress towards chartership)
    * Strong communication and organisational skills
    * Ambitious and career-driven Quantity Surveyor
