Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking an experienced CAD Design Engineer to join our Mechanical Engineering team. This role will involve contributing to a wide range of studies, projects, and consultancy assignments, providing robust and innovative mechanical design solutions.

Responsibilities:

3D modelling – Company products and associated equipment. Full system package design, all pipework runs, pneumatic and electrical hookups. Using information presented by others including but not limited to client’s specifications, internal specifications, including process design calculations, P&ID, equipment datasheets, mechanical design calculations, instrumentation/equipment schedules.

Generate comprehensive design drawings including, System General Arrangement and Assembly drawings, detailed design drawings for manufacture, such as component drawings, Sub-assembly isometrics, pre-form forging details, plate developments, generate bills of material for material procurement, hydrostatic test bill of materials, weld location diagrams, material location diagrams.

Interact frequently with various engineering disciplines and departments.

Support the Mechanical Department team. Check CAD design engineers and contractor drawings.

Support the Mechanical Design Assurance team.

Requirements: 

Experience of piping system design. 

Experience of Solid Edge CAD software, SolidWorks and Inventor.

Accredited mechanical engineering degree, ideally MEng/ MSc, alternatively BEng/ BSc with excellent understanding of engineering principles.

Attention to detail, curious mind, and creative thinking.

Ability to build good working relationships and collaborate.

Good interpersonal skills and excellent communicator.

Able to use MS Office, Excel software.
