On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Supply Chain Planner for a 12 months contract based in Solihull. Please note this role is going to be hybrid with a mix of 3 days/week working from the office and the remaining days working from home.
Job description - the role
Purpose of the role:
Working within the Procurement team, responsible for ensuring the planning and on time delivery of a defined portfolio of parts across the full product lifecycle - including but not limited to NPI, production, transfers, reactivations and supply chain design.
What you'll do:
Own end-to-end supplier planning, scheduling, and capacity assurance to meet customer demand
Monitor delivery performance, system exceptions, and supplier feedback; proactively manage risks
Lead orderbook, capacity, and recovery reviews; create and govern arrears and recovery plans
Drive supplier delivery performance improvement using KPIs, reviews, and capability assessments
Identify and mitigate short- and long-term supply chain risks, escalating cross-functional issues as needed
Support NPI, rate increases, and parts transfers, owning planning & control activities to ensure on-time delivery
Manage supplier commit/accept to demand changes and support SIOP activities
Ensure ERP/SAP compliance, inventory optimisation, budget control, and master data accuracyThe skills you'll need:
Proven experience in Supply Chain Management within a complex or regulated environment
Strong knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to align demand, supply, and capacity
Demonstrable capability in Demand Management and Forecasting techniques
Experience in Inventory Management and optimisation, balancing service, and cost.
Competence in Capacity Planning to support short‑, medium‑, and long‑term demand
Solid understanding and practical application of Materials Resource Planning (MRP).Next steps
