How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Residential Suburban Development Architect

    Location: Falkirk

    Employment Type: Full Time

    About the role

    My client is looking for an architect specializing in the design and delivery of high-quality suburban housing estates. The projects focus on creating sustainable, well-planned communities that balance modern living with green spaces and local amenities.

    The Role

    The ideal candidate is an experienced Residential Suburban Development Architect to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of housing estate projects from concept through to completion. This role requires a strong understanding of residential development, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

    Key Responsibilities

    Oversee the end-to-end development of suburban housing estates
    Manage planning applications, zoning requirements, and regulatory approvals
    Coordinate with architects, contractors, engineers, and local authorities
    Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources
    Monitor construction progress and ensure quality standards are met
    Identify and mitigate project risks
    Engage with community stakeholders and ensure developments meet local needs
    Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability standards
    Requirements

    Proven experience in residential property development, preferably in suburban or large-scale housing projects
    Demonstrable experience working on large-scale housing developments is essential
    Strong knowledge of planning regulations and development processes
    Excellent project management and organizational skills
    Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and contractors
    Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost control
    Strong communication and negotiation skills
    Degree in Property Development, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or a related field (preferred)
